A: The Navionics chip will work in every fishfinder that has a SD card port. In this case the Hummingbird 688 does have an SD card port so yes it will definitely work.

A: The Navionics chip is an SD card. All of the fish finders on the market today require an SD card if they are looking to upgrade with the Navionics maps. There is no mini SD card available for Navionics.
