Something is wrong with the SS and it rusts. I need to constantly scrub and polish the outside of the cover. That isn’t normal. Think there is a production issue.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your LEX485. We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the product. Based on your photo, this appears to be common surface oxidation that will occur on stainless steel. SS is not completely rust proof, unlike gold or platinum. To limit surface oxidation, wash often using a soft cloth and a mild dish soap but detergents containing chloride should be avoided. I’ve had my Napoleon 485PSS for 4 years now. Had a Weber NG unit before but prefer the Napoleon as the heat is better and more consistently distributed.
