    I’ve never had a problem with Canadian tire chargers. I’ve got two that are over 20 years old. These one amp chargers are great for maintaining. I’ve even used one on a sump pump because the original charger quit.

    Second purchase... . Simple, effective little unit; however, suddenly after a year of use and with no set-up errors with my first MotoMaster Recharger Simple Series it sparked and wouldn't charge again leaving a permanent Red light. Not sure if a fuse can be replaced?

    Q: Will this charge my battery if it’s completely dead and I leave it plugged in on a jeep Wrangler

    • A: Yes it should charge the battery as long as the battery is healthy enough to take a charge. If the battery is completely discharged, it can freeze, at that point the battery is no longer capable to hold a load even if you charge it.

    Q: is this good as a trickle charger when covering a car outdoors for the winter?

    • A: If your vehicle is older or has few electronics, this charger should suffice. However, newer vehicles or ones loaded with lots of electronics constantly draw battery power and a 0.8A charger may not be powerful enough to overcome this level of discharge. We would recommend a charger rated at least 1.5A such as the MotoMaster Simple Series 3A model (011-1964) or 1.5A Onboard model (011-1962).

    Q: On the single LED model charger, what does a flashing amber indicate (this indication does not appear to be mentioned here or in the product literature). I have tried this on a number of batteries (some healthy, some not) with no discernable difference.

    • A: Green flashing….charging Green solid….charged,maintaining Amber solid….power on no battery detected or battery severely discharged <1.5V may not be safe to charge Red flashing….fault/error abnormalities detected, defective battery or short circuit  Red solid….. polarity reversed reverse connection

    Q: Will it trickle charge a completely dead battery?

    • A: Yes, I used mine to recharge the battery on an ATV. I left it on charge for a week and the following week I was able to start the machine. I believe that as long as the battery is functional, it can be recharged.
