Q: what is the recommended size of air compressor to run jack ?
4 years agoA: Pneumatic bottle jacks including this MotoMaster item have minimal air requirements and do not require continuous air. You will require an air tool compressor with 1/4 NPT Connection to operate this jack in pneumatic mode. A 2-Gallon tank and 1 Cubic Meter per Minute pump - or larger - will be sufficient.

A: I don't thing you can install anything on the Hydraulic side.

Q: The 20 ton pneumatic hydraulic bottle jack at Canadian tire. What type of compressor do you need to make a shop press? that will be powerful enough to press billets.

A: This 20-ton hydraulic bottle jack has capacity for 40,000-lbs. Regrettably, we do not have expertise in building shop presses for pressing billets and cannot advise. However, if you determine that 10-tons is sufficient for your application, we have a MAXIMUM 10-ton Shop Press available that may suit your needs, available as Product #009-0221 from your local Canadian Tire.

A: L'huile hydraulique peut être remplie en suivant les instructions ci-dessous. 1. Placez le cric en position verticale, abaissez complètement le vérin et retirez le bouchon de remplissage d'huile de l'orifice de remplissage. 2. A: No, this item is not designed for horizontal use. If you are looking for a multi-directional operation, we would suggest considering our MotoMaster Multi-Directional Bottle Jacks available from your local Canadian Tire as Product #09-1532 or 09-1533 in 12-ton or 20-ton capacities. Regrettably, we do not have a combination of multi-direction + pneumatic jack.

Q: Does the pneumatic motor require the compressed air to contain lubricating oil? If the compressed air supply is from an oilless compressor what is the procedure to add an appropriate amount of oil to the air line and at what frequency?

A: The compressed air line for this Pneumatic/Hydraulic jack is not required to including lubricating tool oil. The Bottle Jack includes lubricating grease inside the air motor, which is added during the assembly. The grease supplied is enough to last the lifecycle of the product without the need to add again.
