A: SLA battery = sealed lead-acid battery which can be used even if tipped on its side. I bought this battery to replace the SLA battery in my "Motomaster Eliminator Powerbox" (011-2002-8) - after about 3 years it just wouldn't charge any longer. The AC to DC charger included with the Powerbox's label reads as follows: 13.5 V DC, 500mA. Interestingly, the manual states the charge input current is 1A (not 500mA). Operating temp between 32F - 104F (0 C to 40 C) So, using this info, a good low cost charger might be Battery Tender Junior Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer, 0.75-Amp, 12V #011-1940-0. You could also maintain (not charge) a car battery with this charger.

A: We would need to know the Ah capacity of the original batteries. If the original batteries are about 10Ah each, then yes 2 of these is series can be used. You should not use these batteries if your original ones are lithium-ion.

A: It is not clear whether you are trying to make your own system or replace a battery within an existing system. It really depends how much capacity (runtime) you are looking for. A 10Ah battery seems awfully small. And a 40W panel it too powerful for a 10Ah battery.

A: Given the low capacity of the battery, we would recommend a low amperage charger such as Battery Tender Jr (11-1940) or NOCO Genius G750 (11-1925) or G3500 (11-1927).

Q: Is this battery compatible with the Lowrance Elite 3x Fishfinder? (to use in Kayak)

A: Your fish finder will operate with any 12V battery. It’s really a question of how much power (runtime) you want. Higher capacity = longer runtime between recharges. A small, SLA battery like this one is ideal because it is sealed (safety) safety and portability. Most people will use a battery in the 7Ah range so this 10Ah battery will provide even longer runtime between recharges.

A: If you've got space for the larger size, yes it will work just fine. It would provide about 40% longer than your 7Ah battery.

Q: Will this battery work in a black and decker lawn mower?

A: If the original battery is an SLA (sealed lead acid) battery rated at 12V and 10Ah with the same physical dimensions, it will work. If the original battery is some other type (e.g. lithium, NiMH, NiCad, etc.), it will not work. Please consult with Black and Decker or your check owner’s manual to confirm the proper battery specifications.

A: SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries are generally used in standby or cycling applications; not so much in starting applications. However, if your original battery is an SLA battery and this 10-2049 (roughly) matches dimensionally and the terminals are similar (i.e. fast-on), then it will work as a replacement. If your original battery however is not an SLA battery, you should consider one of our AGM powersport batteries (such as model 27-1028) as these are better suited for starting applications.
