It is paste wax.

I expected it to be softer like other products. The wax will work better using a power buffer rather then elbow grease. The end result was more then satisfactory. I can't blame the product, I should have done more research.

Restoring wooden furniture….

Paste Wax is a special product for restoring wood that has lost its lustre and is dried out. Canadian Tire was the only store that still has this product on the shelf. Thanks!

Great for many things then just applying to wood as a finish

[Employee of canadiantire-ca] This is Wood paste wax, great for many different things, I use it to protect metal on my Drill press, Table saw, and Band Saw, give it a little coat to keep it rust free and also helps the wood slide better, especially in the T tracks. Remember to get some Minerial spirits as this is solid in the can, you need to make mashed potato consistency with the paste and the minieral spirits to apply it and you do not need a lot so a can this big will last you awhile if you are using it like I do.
Great product and of course it is Minwax, so you can trust it's quality.

Poor Inventory Control

cancelled the order, one item not available, shows inventory but they didn't have it. Not the first time I have ordered items from this CT to find out the inventory showing available is not correct. Have advised them in store and on line, only to find days and even weeks later that the item still shows as being available, when it is not.

- A: Not really a sealant. It is primarily intended for bare wood to produce a smooth finish. For sealing you might want to look in to shellac or acrylic sealant.2 years agoHelpful?

- A: Paste wax is a time tested finish. It is unlike modern polyurethane topcoats that come in gloss, satin, semi gloss and mattes. Paste wax actually provides a true hand-rubbed luster to any finished wood surface. (example over Minwax woodfinish or even a milk or chalk paint) Many DIYers will use this over Chalked paint for added protection and beauty. Uses like this can be found all over Pintrest. Paste wax should be tested first to ensure they like the finish, then proceed. Excess is easily removed with mineral spirits, so it is a very forgiving finish.
