    everything I need

comes with a dizzying amount of bits and sockets. just remember: the side with the wrenches sticks when you close the lid and the other side is loose. label the wrench side 'TOP' and it will open up without incident. open up the 'bottom' and it will take you about 15 minutes as mentioned above to put them back in place!!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Time on your hands?

Great set but only buy if you have time to put sockets in every time you use! Case latches don't hold. Top sockets stay in place but bottom ones fall out way too easily. First time opened latches came off & half sockets fell out. Trying to be careful opening doesn't help either. As soon as I lifted, latches came undone and sockets all over the floor. Spending 15 mins putting back in is not worth the good price I got this for.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Q: Are these 1/2" drive or 3/8"?

    • A: Dear MTLAdam; Even though the description does not specify (Bad Dog CT!) based upon the photograph of the kit - there are 3 ratchets included and the most common ratchet and socket sizes are 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". I have not counted the sockets in the picture presented and determined how many sockets for each size but would surmise that the 1/4" sockets range from 1/4" up to 9/16", the 3/8" sockets range from 3/8" up to 3/4", and the 1/2" socket range from 1/2" up to 1". Both the smaller end and the upper end may vary, but that is my best guess based upon experience.

Q: What size is the largest 1/2" drive socket?

    • A: 13/16 is the largest 1/2 drive socket and the largest socket is a 7/8 3/8 drive socket, which is weird. Never noticed this until I looked. You would think they would make that a 1/2 drive.

Q: What is the maximum torque allowed for the sockets application? Specifically, can these be used in impact drills with lower torque ranges

    • A: I would say the most you could generate by hand with the ratchet or a small flex bar. I wouldn't put any snipes on these or you will round bolt heads because of the universal design. If you want to confidently put alot of torque on a fastener, get a 6 point socket set.

    Q: Impact-wrench safe?

    1 Answer
    • A: This socket set is not to be used with impact drills or lower torque ranges. The sockets will shatter and it will harm you if used improperly. We carry impact socket sets/sockets at Canadian Tire which are designed for impact uns/drills/lower torque ranges. There are made specifically for use of these types of impact drills etc.
