Won't Last

Bought this to put 2.5" screws in wood. Put in possibly 50 screws then it stripped !! Had cordless drill set to not over torque and it still failed .... Total Junk !!!!

No depth control, so-so durability, performs well

This device will let you sink long screws (4") single handed with your drill driver. (I'd recommend a 14.4 or 18V drill driver for this type of work.) This driver does what it's supposed to: you set it up with a bit, put the screw inside, and then drive it home, and you can do it all single handed. This can be a bonus when you are driving screws on a ladder.
The only problem with this one is you can't set the depth to prevent you from drilling too far into the wood. This product if you intend for it to last for a small project (say a porch or a garden wall), but you may wear it out in the middle of a large project like a deck or a dock. This happened to us. Because of the lack of depth control and the so-so durability of this project, we'd only recommend it for small projects and/or occasional use.

I like this unit, it help me keep my deck screws in line while drilling them in. Only complaint is you can't see how far the screw has been drilled in, in therefore have to stop halfway to see how far left the screw has to go.

I built a deck last summer and drover around 3500 screws using this. It made the job a lot easier. Only negative was that there was no stopper to set the counter sink depth.
