Q: Does the extension comes with a bracket and bolts to attach to the existing rail? The picture does not show the mounting hardware.

A: The kit includes a rail extension and a new belt. The T-rail kit is composed of 4 pieces of rails; 2 end and 2 middle pieces as well as the connecting pieces and nuts and bolts for assembly. Because you are replacing one of the middle pieces of the 4-piece rail kit with a longer piece, and not adding on, you can use the existing hardware for assembly. The two end pieces will remain the same along with one of the two middle pieces. You will only need to replace the belt with the new longer belt included in the extension kit.

Q: Is this compatible with the 1HP Mastercraft belt driven GDO? In the description it only has noted the 3/4 hp

A: The extensions for the Product# 046-0582 1HP Belt Drive Garage Door Opener are Product#046-0584 (8ft door) and Product#046-0585 (10ft door). These will also work with the 3/4HP that have a Tube Rail. The Product#074-3511 is for the 3/4HP with T-Rails, the 1HP has a Tube rail.

Q: I have a chamberlain 3/4 hp wisper drive. My door is 8x10. the opener I have is only for a 7ft door, will this extension kit work ? I wanna order today so I can get before christmas

A: No a Mastercraft extension kit will not with a Chamberlain product. That is correct that the units are packed to accommodate 7ft doors. To accommodate an 8ft door, you will require product # 046-0591.

Q: I bought a Mastercraft 1 HP belt driven garage door opener for a 9 ft door (garage ceiling is 10 ft). Will this extension kit work with the 1hp GDO?

A: No, the extension 0743511 is not compatible with the 1 HP 0460582 GDO. Also this is an 8’ extension for 8’ doors. For a 9’ door you need to use a 10’ extension providing you have the room on the ceiling, if you use an 8’ extension the door won’t open all the way. The extensions for the 1 HP will be available soon; you can call 1-800-689-9928 for more information.
