Great Little Tool

I love this little grinder. It's great for small projects like sanding chairs. Just don't push it, my father-in-law destroyed 2 of them cutting some railing by stripping the gears

Not worth the money

Mastercraft Grinder 5 amp is not in comparison to the 6 amp Mastercraft Grinder. The 5 amp grinder has trouble cutting through a 3/8 inch bolt. No Power. The only thing that is good this has a 3 year warranty.
No, I do not recommend this product.

disposable grinder

I`ve had this grinder for about 3 years. I bought it to have a second smaller grinder along side my Makita. The trigger stopped working about 6 months ago so I was plugging in to start it and unplugging it to stop it (yes I know it`s dangerous). Yesterday the bearing failed. This grinder is less than half the age of the Makita and was lightly used. I could buy another cheap disposable one but will be replacing with a Makita. Too bad CT does not sell them.
I will give the grinder two stars because it was cheap on sale and I did get what I paid for, but I am tired of throwing away tools.

Lightly Used

Bought this grinder last Christmas and used it a few of times for light work...sharpening my axe, etc and it developed a loud noise then disk stopped spinning. Took it apart and found the gears completely broken down! Must've gotten outta alignment and ground the gears down.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Need a 5/8" to 7/8" arbor adapter bushing? For cutoff wheels with 7/8" hole, should a 5/8" to 7/8" adapter bushing be used to fit into the 5/8" size arbor of this grinder?

A: 5/8" is the arbor size of the grinder, it is designed to fit the grinding wheel with a 7/8" hole when using the flange shipped along with the grinder. The grinder tool has a grinding guard, to ensure safety we don't suggest to use a cutoff wheel.

Q: Can other Master Craft cutting wheels be used with this grinder? When I bought this It came with a 4 1/2 x 1/4 inch grinding disc. I also bought a pkg of Mastercraft 4 1/2 x 1/8 inch cut off wheels. I can't find any way to lock down the thinner 1/8 inch wheel. Is there an available adapter ?
