    Way too heavy

I've read the reviews. Thought that people were exagerating. But this is way too heavy. Impossible to get it to my roof. I had to return it.

Good Ladder When Storage Space is a Premium

We bought this ladder to get up on our roof (18'). We don't have a lot of storage space and this folds up perfectly for storage in our small shed. When it's fully extended you'll need someone standing on the base as you walk it hand-over-hand to the upright position. Once leaning on the roof we found it easy to maneuver around (I would recommend getting standoff). It's light weight enough to easily pickup in other configurations. Also the wide base foot attachments are very welcome. If you live in the city and have limit places to store a ladder you can't go wrong with this one.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    impossibly heavy

This ladder is impossible to maneuver when in fully extended mode (ie. 21) due to it's weight. If you need a step ladder... buy a step ladder. If you need a 21' ladder, buy an extension ladder. As always, when a product tries to be everything it messes up somewhere... in this case the weight.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: does this ladder support 250lbs if i was to stand in the middle of the ladder when the ladder is in the position shown in the picture below?

    1 Answer
    • A: These ladders should be able to support you safely up to 250 lbs in the scaffold position. According to the vendor, the testing they do for CSA is for 1000 lbs with the vendor adding a little more for extra safety margin. You have to use the a plank with the articulating ladder in the scaffold position. You cannot use just any plank but 061-1004 which comes in a combo with the 17’ ladder for SKU 199-0997. This plank can also be used for the 21’ ladder as well but we no longer sell the plank (061-1004) separately anymore.

Q: if in a straight position would it still carry the max 250 load rating?

    1 Answer
    • A: We cannot respond to this question accurately because we do not know what position you are referencing to. A straight ladder leaning against a wall will have a 250 lb capacity but the ladder laying horizontally like a bridge is not a recommended position nor is it certified to hold 250 lbs in this position.

Q: what is the folded up ready for storage dimensions of this ladder? I'm trying to see if this (preferred) or the 17' ladder would fit on my storage unit better... Thank you!

    1 Answer
    • A: The folded up ready for storage dimensions (packing size) is 162x40x28cm. Please note that balance bars should be removed from the bottom of ladder.

Q: How wide are the bases of the ladder? I would like to use it for trimming hedges and trees, so a wide base is better for stability.

    1 Answer
    • A: The width of the base is 82 cm. If the ladder is being used outside it is important the feet are firmly planted on level ground.

Q: What is the difference between an articulating ladder and a multiladder?

    1 Answer
    • A: A multi-task ladder has a hinge in the middle of the ladder which allows it to pivot in the middle to turn into a step ladder/extension ladder. It is also telescopic which allows the user to use it as an extension ladder of various lengths. The ladder can be separated and turned into 2 “A” frames for use with a plank. An articulating ladder has multiple hinges which allows it to pivot at multiple points enabling it to be used in many different configurations. It is not telescopic so the length is fixed and it cannot be separated into “A” frames. The ladders share some of the same positions but many positions are unique to the ladders which enables them to be used in different locations.
