Not compatible with Dewalt or most batteries.

Probably a great tool - just can’t believe it’s not compatible with most batteries and wants you to buy new ones which will fit it.
Just be aware - it’s looking for a 3 prong battery…

Is a good machine

I've used it to cut the steel frame of a trailer so far, I've used to cut 3/4" steel shafts, I've used it to cut the copper of the side of a 80 pound stator from a 5000watt generator... I've used it to cut 1" inch solid aluminum up... Get the big battery if you're gonna play.

This thing is more powerful than I thought . And the 4.0 amp battery lasted a surprisingly long time. I already have several Mastercraft tools and hat use the PowerPod system , so I already had the batteries. I took down a tree and cut it into firewood size using this thing. Impressive at regular price , 5 star when it’s on a big sale.

Works better than my (few years) older model of corded saw

Bought this to upgrade from the corded model from a few years ago. So far it's been great, using a 4 amp battery it'll last for most medium sized tasks (took apart a swinging bench in a few minutes and didn't drain one bar), it's lightweight and just as easy to use, the only thing I didn't like is the odd shape BUT it is designed that way I assume so you can use your other hand as better leverage on the front end of the saw. Over all I'm happy with the purchase, glad I got it on sale too

Q: Is this comparable to the Milwaukee M12 Fuel or M18 Fuel hackzalls? This appears to have a longer stroke length with the same stroke per min rating. Is it worth buying into another battery platform for this saw?

A: This saw is definitely a versatile tool, excelling in everything from woodworking to pruning trees & shrubs in the yard. The biggest reason I purchased the saw is it uses the same 20 volt battery platform as the rest of my tools. Saw strokelength is excellent...no complaints...but with confidence.

Q: Can I use the PWR POD 20V MID 5.0 Ah battery on this product or does it require the PWR POD 20V MID 4.0 Ah Battery?

A: Hi. I only have a 20V Mid 4 ah battery. I do not see why you could not use any PWR POD battery on any tool that is powered by a PWR POD battery. The 5.0 Ah battery would last longer between charging then the lower Ah rated batteries.

A: I don't have a video review of this saw but I own 2 of them, one at home and once I use professionally at work as an auto technician. It seems to do very well at the tasks I've given it and much less expensive compared to alternatives from other brands.
