Great for DIYers!

I love doing diy furniture restorations and random small home upgrades. This sander lets you get into corners and tight areas!! Which was my pain point with the orbital sander i had bought without thinking about that. I like that it comes with a few starter essentials too. Best part is that it's wireless!! Well worth it.

As a new home owner I severely underestimated the tools I would need to really do anything in my house and realizing every door in my house could use just a little shaving off the edges to close the right way, really proved to me how unprepared I was. This sander has quickly become a life saver in every area of my home. The weird little door to my storage, sanded and repainted, fits perfect now too. My wonky bathroom door that was cut to fit the make shift door frame to fit the a-frame, no longer rubs on the frame! My kitchen cupboards with LAYERS of paint is a project I will now actually consider thanks to this, what a handy tool, id be replacing things if I didnt have this

Good detail sander

This is an effective battery-powered sander. It is very easy to attach the sanding pads, much easier than other sanders Ive used in the past. I appreciate the pointed end for detail work, as I often refinish smaller wood furniture pieces, shelves etc. and find my round sander to not be overly effective. This makes those types of jobs considerably easier. I also love that its battery powered, making it possible to bring my work further away from my garage and home to avoid mess/noise etc.

Cordless !

I received this sander for free to review. We had been working on a board & batten feature wall in our master. This sander arrived just in time! I used it to smooth out rough / uneven surfaces before painting, and where the holes were filled from nails. It was perfect for the job! I really loved the fact that it is cordless. With little children I am constantly having to stop projects. When there are cords, its easy to trip. With this cordless Mastercraft detail sander I was able to put the tool down (and away) without worrying about tripping or kids getting to it. I had used a corded detail sander from another brand this summer while working on our stair case. While I loved the different attachments, it was not cordless and the cord was in the way all the time. Mastercraft detail sander also is very ergonomic for the hands, is not very loud like the others I've used in the past, it is very pleasant to work with. I definitely recommend giving this one a try!

We received the Mastercraft 20V Brushless Detail Sander, Bare Tool. Thanks to Canadian Tire & thisisbutterly who gifted this. I love that it's cordless, so nothing gets in the way while sanding. There is also minimal dust because of the dust canister and vacuum attachment. Another reason I love it, is that the battery charges quickly. If you're looking for a last-minute gift for someone who loves DIY, this is a good choice. They would love & appreciate it.
