Lots of air but lots of noise

43-5228 was purchased to help move air from a window air conditioner to other rooms. But I found it way too noisy for the home environment even at lowest speed. I have hearing loss from working 30 years in heavy industry and I still found this fan too loud for use in a living room with relaxed conversation trying to take place. Voices had to be raised to compete with the propeller airplane-like noise. On the up side it moves plenty of well aimed air even at lowest speed. Sturdy base. Best use would be in a shop or work environment.

Great Fan - very quiet

I bought this fan for our bedroom to move some of the air around and cool the place off. I am glad I went with the 18inch model because it moves a lot of air - however it is not loud at all. Of course the blades have to spin and cut through the air - however aside from that it does not wobble or make any weird noises. I would definitely recommend this fan!

Q: What is the CFM for each of the 3 speeds of this fan? 43-5228 This is a customer that is inquiring about this and I am unable to find out any information. Thank you.

A: Fans are not measure by CFM but by speed much like the wind is measured. This fan has particularly good velocity of 5.7 meters/sec (m/s) on speed level 1; 6.2 m/s on speed level 2 and 7.2 m/s on speed level 3.
