Would Purchase Again

I purchase these on sale for a gift to myself/from myself at my arrival in Calgary about 2.5 yyears ago and love these knives. Easy to sharpen, good material, the knives are well balance and are very easy to handle... I highly recommend these @ woody & Phantomfury: 1) leaving stainless steel to elements can cause surface rust (will non cause structural damage to the knife), CLR will take care of it 2) only sharpen the knives with a rat tail or a knife stone (NEVER with a sharpening block 3) Use a knife polishing kit occasionally to restore your knives and make them new again

Must hand wash

I have had this knife set for over two years now and the knives still perform well. However do NOT leave these knives in the dishwasher. You will eventually get surface rust on them. This rust easily comes off with a Scoth Brite stainless steel cleaning pad. If you simply hand wash and dry after using they will stay clean. I have found the same problem with Kitchenaid and Napoleon knives. I would only recommend buying these knives when they are on sale. The regular price is far too steep.

Solid knife set

The two reviews about these knives rusting I do believe... with this set you CANNOT leave them in the sink for extended periods of time, put them in the dishwasher, or neglect them in any other way or they will rust. That said, if you take care of these knifes the way you are supposed to care for a premium knife set they're great - when I made the mistake of putting them in the dishwasher 6 months after using them I went to my local store and they swapped out the entire set without question. I've had my new set over a year and wouldn't change them out for a different set. Wouldn't pay full price since I know the discounted price pops up once in a while.

after 6 months use they rusted and chipped. Only used them on food and I cleaned them after use and dried them. Total waste of money.

Great Knives

First off the knives look amazing, they are very smooth and lightweight with great balance. The blades are sharp and they come with a 1 year Canadian Tire warranty as well as a lifetime warranty from Lagostina so at 75% off they are a great deal. Very happy with my purchase of these knives.

- A: With all high quality knives, hand-washing is recommended. We have not heard of any complaints after customers have put them into the dishwasher, however our warranty card indicates that we recommend hand-washing them in warm, soapy water, rinsing, then drying thoroughly with a clean dish towel.9 years agoHelpful?
