    Q: Can it grind meat?

    • A: Hi, thank you for contacting the Whirlpool Central Advisors! You may use the Mini Food Processor to chop raw fruits and vegetables or nuts, and mince parsley, chives, or garlic for easy preparation in your favorite recipes. Purée cooked fruit or vegetables to make baby food, or to use as bases for soups or sauces. You can also make bread crumbs, or grind raw meat. Use the drizzle basin and pour spout to easily make mayonnaise or dressings. NOTE: For best results, larger food items should be cut to approximately 1 inch cubes before processing. This step also allows processing of more food at a single time. IMPORTANT: Do not process coffee beans or hard spices such as nutmeg, which may damage the Mini Food Processor. I hope this helps. - Whirlpool Central Advisors

    • A: No I wouldn't use it for that, it would chop it to fine. We use it to make pico de gallo.

Q: Does this grind coffee beans?

    • A: Hi Heather; I use my mini Kitchenaid primarily for chopping herbs, small amount of onions, salad dressings etc and love it for this. Easy to use and easy to clean. I have never used it to grind coffee beans until just now. I used the chop setting first and it gave a very coarse grind, I then continued to the puree setting and ground it for a few minutes. It gave a finer grind but not as fine as our dedicated coffee grinder that we use if making a pot of drip coffee. I suppose if you keep going it will get finer. If it was me I would not use this as a regular coffee grinder as it takes too long and the results are not standardized. Hope this helps

    • A: Thank you for your enquiry. You can chop ginger, chilli and garlic in the 3.5 cup chopper. Chop your ingredients into 2cm pieces before putting into your chopper. When starting to process your ingredients use the pulse function to break your ingredients into smaller pieces before fully processing.
