Great pressure cooker, poor slow cooker

I bought this as a do it all cooker. It's not. Its a great pressure cooker but is far from a good slow cooker. It doesn't reduce water, just traps it in so the sauce doesn't thicken. Which is the goal is a slow cooker. Ended up buying a slow cooker on top from another company

Best thing I've ever bought!

I bought this over a year ago and have tested 30+ recipes and have loved every minute. What a fantastic find. Appliances usually promise a lot and then disappoint, this one does NOT disappoint. Don't be scared this is not your usual scary pressure cooker. Pinterest has a ton of free recipes too!

I have now owned my Instant Pot for 18 months and LOVE it!!! Not magic, just make sure liquid is added as it is a pressure cooker that cooks with steam. Makes anything faster, better and easier. Put bones in, liquid, set time and walk away no need to watch, stir or think about it. Love this machine.

A: Thank you for your question. Although recipes very depending on quantities. The average prep time is 10 minutes with a cooking time of 1 hour 20 minutes if using dry pinto or navy beans.

A: Instant Pot doesn’t produce cook books however, there are many different Instant Pot Cook books available from other publishers. We would suggest however, to look at both YouTube for thousands of vegetarian recipes. As well, there is a FaceBook Instant Pot vegetarian community that is very responsive with many recipes.

Q: does the instant pot generate a lot of heat? I find my slow cooker really heats up my kitchen and was thinking of trying this out instead.

A: The Instant Pot does not generate heat. The top gets hot when in use and there is a warning label on it for ‘Hot to Touch’.
