Q: can i use it for pickling?

A: Sticker on base clearly states: "Hand wash only." although, they hand wash easily because the opening is so wide (wider than lg. mason jar opening. I suspect the metal clamp might be the reason to avoid the dishwasher/harsher chemicals.
