Q: I bought the mini spreader plus golfgreen fertilizer on the same day. The spreader setting of the golfgreen fertilizer is 22. It doesn't match the scale on the scott's spreader. Anyone knows setting conversion between the two brands? Please help.

Q: Can in use it ,when over seeding on existing lawn?
10 years agoA: While CIL Golfgreen Lawn Fertilizer 30-0-3 is a great product for greening and thickening up an established lawn, it unfortunately would not be when seeding. Due to the high percentage of nitrogen (30%) it would be damaging to the germination, and establishment of grass seed, . When sowing grass seeds it is essential that there be sufficient phosphorous to promote good root development. With good roots comes strong grass. Therefore a better choice would be a lawn starter fertilizer with a high middle number (10-20-5)- such as Scotts Turfbuilder Starter Lawn Food for New Grass (059-2283-6).
