In freezing temperatues makes a great weight!

The only thing this sand is good for is adding weight in the rear of a RWD vehicle. If you ever need some traction sand in an emergency in the winter this will freeze solid and become nothing more than a solid brick of sand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Warning Do not buy. This is not dried as most other traction sand is. It will not pass through a spreader and freezes solid in an unheated garage. The grit is also finer than most other traction sands. This is nothing more than general purpose sand that can be had (dried) for 1/4 the price at any home improvement or lumber store.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Frozen bag of sand

The bag froze into a solid mass in the garage. Have to keep it inside the house. How inconvenient to truck sand through the house every time you need to use it outside.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    No longer what it was

Very disappointed in the version of "Get A Grip". In previous years Get A Grip this was a traction aid, consisting of course grit, much superior to regular sand. This year the product has changed and is now indistinguishable from sand, (and wet sand at that as mentioned by other reviewers). I will not buy again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It works when salt doesn't...allows you to use it where there is the possibility of damage to the concrete.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
