Q: Will these fit 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500; do they run off existing daytime lights?

A: The GE Nighthawk LED Daytime Running Light system is a universal lighting system that can be spliced into your current daytime lighting system. Please note that professional installation is recommend for these lighting systems to ensure DOT compliance.

Q: Are these compliant? I see that these meet DOT compliance but not mention of CSA. The registrar say they must meet: CSA-D-603-88 “Daytime Running Lights Systems” Are these compliant??

A: The important items to remember: • Lamps are standalone so subparagraphs (44), (45), (46) and (47) apply. • Light is white per subparagraph (45) • Lamps conform to SAE J2087 per subparagraph (46) • Lamps have a maximum cd value at any point of 3000 Cd – also required in the US per subparagraph (47)(a) You can find the entire document (10MB) at: https://ge.box.com/s/bm1zd5ax80y2l8eewpw6ngj9695gez84
