I bought one of these ( prob did model but garrison portable ac) and I wanted to just say wow. I've owned it since 2014. And it's just now starting to wear down on the power button. But it still works like when we got it. (Aside from the power button) teen hot summers. Like 5 moves and minimum care. 10 years. Amazing investment

Very poor purchase. Stopped working.

This equipment barely lasted. It seems that the compressor got shot only after three summers or so. Barely used for 10 days during each summer as it does not get very hot in Vancouver. Totally unreliable and ripoff.

Just after the warranty period ended, the a/c unit decided to die and there's no one around here that can fix them. Sad purchase.

Q: How does the exhaust vent installed on windows which are not open vertical or horizontal ?

A: Somebody really needs to invent a system for casement windows, those are the kind that swing outwards! What I did was cut a piece of corrugated plastic sign board to the size of my window and cut a hole in it to accommodate the vent. There are probably more attractive ways to do it if one knows how, but what I did was use tons of duct tape to keep the signboard attached to the window frame, as well as keeping the venting hose attached to the hole in the signboard. So, it can be done, but it's a pain in the neck.

Q: Portable Air Conditioner venting Does Canadian Tire have any portable air conditioners that can be vented out thru a bedroom window that opens outwardly instead of up and down or sideways?

A: I can't believe some clever entrepreneur hasn't created something like this! Q: How often should I empty the water if it had been going running all day ?

A: This PAC doesn't require routine draining due to the self-evaporate design. Condensed water will be evaporated outside through the air exhaust hose. Only if the environment humidity is extremely high, the water container might go full, the machine will display E5, and stop running, after draining the water, the unit will work again.
