For Living Spin Mop and Bucket

I recently purchased this mop and I do not like it. The mop handle must be upright to spin and then it must be on an angle to wash the floor. I have to use my foot to "knock" it up and down hence...wet sock. The poor head design does not get into corners. The only positive is that it does fit under things. I do not buy a lot of "stuff" so was very disappointed to have spent my money on this product.

All things considered, this is a fairly expensive thing to purchase on a whim. I decided to buy this product since I do not like the old-fashioned "bee" style mops, nor the floppy sailor mops. I hoped that this spin mop would have better support for scrubbing floors, while being easy to clean. Upon opening the box, I realized that the mop came in several pieces. For obvious reasons, things are generally more sturdy when presented in one piece, which I definitely would have preferred. Preparing the mop for cleaning is easy, spinning the water out is awesomely fun (as long as you don't go too fast!), and there is enough support in the mop pad for scrubbing. However, I find that the pivot joint between the mop handle and the mop head is VERY stiff, and can be hard to manage at certain angles (i.e. mopping very far away from you at a tight angle and then wanting to switch to mopping closer to you at a wider angle). This became a prominent problem when trying to clean walls. My solution is to shorten the handle and extend a few inches of the flexible section. This provided a greater range of motion without having to use the pivot head too much. I agree with a previous review that longer strands on the ends of the "tentacles" would help cleaning in corners. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product.

This mop is surprisingly good at doing all it claims. The rinsing and spinning system definitely take the time consuming part out of mopping. The flexible extension head has yet to be used, but I could see it doubling well as a way to catch dust bunnies under furniture as well as mop. I was surprised at how well the microfibre pad had cleaned out after a heavy use. It is a bonus that it won't have to be washed after every single use.
