This is the best addition to the back yard ever! We hanged the hammock up between two mature trees and regretted right away that we did not buy it sooner. We bought the rope separately.

Great Hammock!

I got this hammock on sale and it has totally met my expectations. I only wish Canadian Tire carried tree straps as I didn’t want to damage the trees with the metal hardware Canadian Tire has in store. I had to order the straps online from another retailer.

Good for the short term

We had one of these for about 3 years. It hung well between two trees and we used it often - but by the third year it had actually become kind of stretched out and no longer comfortable. It weathered well though, dried quickly after it rained, and we always brought it in the for the winter, and it rolled up neatly for storage.

Poor quality materials

I bought two of these hammocks in one summer. One rotted away after being exposed to rain. The strings just fell away. The other was stored inside; it lasted two summers before rotting and breaking. What a waste of money!

Q: Is the weave really as bad as the picture shows? I've been looking at various hammocks, and the weave is usually pretty symmetrical, but the photo of this one makes it look like it's really random with big gaps in the weave.

Q: can you tell me how long this is. i have to put it between 2 posts which is 11 feet. will this fit. I want to put it on my deck fastening to two wooden posts and have 11 feet inbetween them.

A: Overall length of the product is 11ft only, So you can hang the Hammock between poles at 11ft distance, however as the Hammock length itself is only 11Ft, if the Hanging height is kept low ( i.e. ≤ 3ft ), then the Hammock might touch the ground when used . We recommend to plan a minimum height of 4 - 4.5 feet from ground level to enjoy ultimate comfort.

A: It depends on the size of your stand. The stand that Canadian Tire sells, is 15 feet long, and would probably work well. My stand was 11 feet, and was too short for it. The bottom of the hammock lay on the ground. My old hammock had chains connected to the ends, to adjust the tension, this hammock from Canadian Tire, does not. It only has a single ring on each end.

A: Packaging says: 6 1/4 x 3 1/2' (1.9 x 1 m) Actuality: The length is several inches past 11 feet. The packaging gives the dimensions of the bed of the hammock, the area between the spreader bars. It does not calculate the length of the rope from the spreader bar to the hanging ring. So what is the length of the whole hammock? Several inches past 134 inches / 11 feet. As that is the length between the S hooks on my stand, and the hammock stretched past that when I was trying to hang it. The hammock stand from Canadian Tire, is 15 feet long. I don't know how well this hammock fits it. It may fit well. Note that there is no provision for tension adjustment. There is just a plain metal ring at each end. From the packaging: - Handwoven cotton mesh design - 3 1/2' (1.1 m) wood spreader bar - Hanging hardware not included - Dimensions: 6 1/4 x 3 1/2' (1.9 x 1 m); holds 330 lb (150 kg)
