      not worth the price

There is no way to clean the foggy glass because everything is glued and sealed. I always kept it fully charged (solar) with fresh batteries. It worked fine for months and then when I needed it most during a power outage, it wouldn't turn on at all. Of course it was just after the one year warranty had expired. Too bad because this was my favourite lantern for home and camping use.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very nice product and worked well compared to other solar lights we have purchased in the past. Glass lens gave the lantern an authentic look and feel

      Great solar lantern

Wonderful lantern, no issues that others have described. Flickering candle option is really nice. The full light option is very bright. Will bring it into the house during power outages. The lantern glass is actually glass, adding nice weight to the piece. A bit pricey but totally worth it.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought 6 of these for our back yard. What I found was that you could switch them from a soft yellow flickering glow like a candle to a bright white if you want more light. It is like 2 lights in one. Very nice.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Is there a coating on the solar cell that has to be removed? Have charged the lights for several hours but they do not come on in the dark.

      1 Answer
      • A: Our vendor has advised that there is not a film on the solar panel of this light. There are a couple of things they would like you to try: 1) Let the lights charge for 8-12 hours in the sun for a full charge. 2) There is a three position switch on the bottom of the light: light/off/candle. Make sure the switch is either on the “light” or “candle” options. If this does not resolve the issue, this product carries a 1 year exchange warranty redeemable at any Canadian Tire store.

      Q: is it waterproof?

      1 Answer
      • A: The lights are not waterproof, however they are water resistant. In other words they work just fine when out in the rain but would not work if they were actually submerged under water.
