Poor design
a month ago
Once installed on the furnace, it was very loose and prone to slip out. I had a plumber come in and he struggled with it as well. Ended up not being the thermocouple, it was the gas control valve. Since the furnace was 30 years old, I decided to change the thermocouple anyway and I threw it out this one I got from Canadian Tire and got a better one from the plumber.

Bought from Canadian Tire November 19th, 2022. Today is 18 November 2023. This only lasted 52 weeks. Also lock nut would not spin freely on the way. I’ll buy another one but only as back up only.

poor output

I bought 2 Eastman Thermocouples and they didn't work properly. A new Thermocouple should produce 30 mV. These would not go higher than 15 mV, so it may have worked for a bit but that is pretty marginal and would likely fail prematurely. I then bought a Honeywell /Resideo thermocouple and easily got the proper voltage. I returned it Canadian Tire for a refund.
No, I do not recommend this product.
