Gloves are ok - Shin pads broken in packaging bag

Gloves were ok - seem decently made, we tried them on in the store with a helpful clerk. Should have made sure to try on the "senior" sized shin pads though. The elastic is WAAAY too short to go around my 10 yr old's calf and then back to where it started to fasten on. Looks like the velcro was sewn on in the wrong place, or the elastic piece used was about 3x too short to do the job. Also - coming right out of the bag from the store, these shin pads are cracked right up the middle - #from the bottom#. Very unfortunate since Ball hockey camp starts in 13.5 hrs from now and the store has closed for the evening. Guess these would work for a 6-7yr old, but not for a 10 yr old, as the store employee indicated.
