This truck does not match previous issues. It was made by another company it is not a bank there is no series number and it is the wrong size. This truck is a total disgrace to collectors.

Really Missed The Mark

CANADIAN TIRE REALLY MISSED THE MARK... Very disappointed if this is the yearly collectors truck...I have been collecting the C.T.C Collector Truck put out by Liberty Classics each year, and each Christmas look forward to it. If this is some sort of replacement, you really missed the mark and hope that you will reconsider sticking with what you have done for the past 24 years. Right up there with the plastic "ice truck" that came out a few years ago. UPDATE FOR ALL.... CANADIAN TIRE KNOWS THEY MADE A GREAT MISTAKE NOW... I was going to write a letter and put it on FACEBOOK, for everyone to read all the complaints about all the dissatisfied customers over this years collector truck..( For Christmas 2016 ) ( Good thing for Canadian Tire's head office buying/marketing team. It would not have been a good review at all.) I JUST GOT THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR... Just so everyone knows YES there will be number 5 series 5 diecast truck bank classic/vintage to complete the series( The same as the past 24 years) It will be out for Christmas this coming year 2017. I GOT THE NEWS FROM LIBERTY CLASSIC.....IT WILL MAKE ALL THE COLLECTORS HAPPY FOR SURE... THE CUSTOMERS ARE THE ONES THAT SHOP AT CANADIAN TIRE SO WHY NOT GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT??? We want the series to continue on the way it has been for the past 24 years. Change is good. The truck would be OK if regular size with plating and numbered. Yes, some people like new models. Hope this is only a one year "what the heck was I thinking moment"!

The collection without a end

The truck 2015 was the last one of a collection unless the 2017 pursues the tradition of the precedent. The 2016 is not a part of the continuation normal of this collection. A collection without a end, where is the 5 of 5? May be in 2017...

After years of offering a quality collectible truck ,Canadian Tire sure missed the mark for 2016.I was extremely disappointed that this was the best they could come up with after many years of success.Bad decision!Poor choice!

Q: Thanks for your answer, but this truck is not numbered, should it be? Will the Series 5 be finished? The truck has no number, its not a bank. I get that CT wants to change the direction, but after 20 some years, why couldn't Canadian Tire just finish off what they started and then go with something new?

  • A: We made a decision for the 2016 version of the collectable truck to depart for the “classic/vintage” trucks and go with a modern truck. This is still part of the same annual collection, just a different take on it.
