Camp with this light

This lantern is great for all of my camping. It’s always bright, durable, and reliable. I love that it comes with a case to keep it protected until time to use it. It’s portable and easy to take along in the car or clipped to my backpack. I always feel safe knowing I have this light setup with me.

I love my lantern. I do alot of camping and fishing so I use it often. The lantern puts out some light ( nice and bright ). The case comes in handy it help protect it and easy for travel and carrying.

Q: Is this the newest version of the Northstar? Also, does this version make the loud whistle sound when its on low? The newest version has a push button start (red button beside the knob) rather than the turning (click) ignition. Also, there are multiple issues about a loud high pitch sound when the lamp is on low. Has Coleman corrected this issue?

- A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Please be advised that the newest version has a push-button start (the red button beside the knob) rather than the turning (click) ignition. The sound is mostly likely related to the gas pressure flowing through tubes in the lantern. There will be a slight whistling sound related to the pressurized gas flowing through the tubes, but not a loud pitch.2 years agoHelpful?
