Effective, quick draft reduction at a low cost

We used this product in a 30-year old house to reduce drafts through external door seams (entrance and garage doors), with immediate improvements to comfort and reduction of heating costs. As these are high-traffic areas, we supplemented the adhesive with a few staples. This product was initially recommended to us by the owner of a historic stone & brick house on the St Lawrence River. Over years of trial and 'learning', she had found this product most effective at reducing drafts around door and window frames, baseboards, and all manner of spots. We subsequently provided some to the owner of another 100+ year old house, who found it improved the house comfort level profoundly, and now 'swears by it'.

Q: is this permanent tape or will it peel off without removing paint there is a gap between the screen and the window frame allowing flies easy access to the cottage. i am looking for a tape that will not take off paint when removed. this it or is there another product?

A: This is tape can be removed without peeling the paint, if the paint is in good condition...remove using a hair dryer to heat the tape slightly while removing.
