Rock'n

Bought it on sale 10 yrs ago lol...it's never been tuned and used and abused and is still like new somehow. I've had a rear rack in it, child carrier, clip pedals etc. Pretty cool with the 29s. The quick release is handy. My 13 yr old 6' son now rides it and took it on a downhill course yesterday. This bike will never die.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not a good bicycle for the money

Bought this bicycle for my 14-year-old son. After two weeks the rear bearing on the rear wheel was loose. After a month the main crank bearing was also loose. The entire bike rattled. Got the main crank tightened at a local bike shop. That didn’t last. After six months both petals were broken so I had to replace those. I have now replaced the main crank and replaced the rear wheel. This bike is made with terrible components. I should’ve known better. Do not buy this CCM bike

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very poor quality

Bought this bike several months ago and had to change the crankset. Cassette and chain. Parts used by ccm are inferior and will not last. Gear shifts still are not as smooth as they should be. Even the disc break guides are white metal and strip easily when doing a caliber adjustment in the front brakes. Stay away from this bike period

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: weight Restrictions how much weight can this bike handle?

5 Answers
  • A: Depends on the type of use. If doing aggressive trail riding, look for a higher-end bike. If you are a casual recreational rider, it could take the weight of a heavier man. Look at the other reviews.

Q: what should the tire pressure should be at? nothing in the manual or online

4 Answers
  • A: The recommended tire pressure is indicated on the bikes tires. For me, I put in 60 PSI of pressure into my 29ER. For road and light trail use. If you plan to do heavy mountain biking with this bike, I would say put a lot less air in the tubes, at around 45 PSI to prevent tube failure.

Q: Height Im really interested in this bike, my only concern is that it might be too small. im about 5'11 235lbs will this bike be big enough for me? its been a few years since iv bought a new bike. Thanks

4 Answers
  • A: The maximum recommended height for the bike is 6 feet tall, I'm certain you can fit perfectly on this bike. Just make sure to keep the tires slightly softer so you do not put too much pressure on the tubes.

  • A: Turn the fork adjustment control on the right. Turn it all the way to the left to reset the setting, and then turn it to the right to a desired stiffness.

Q: Where do I find brake pads for this bike. Does Canadian Tire carry them?

2 Answers
  • A: Canadian Tire doesn't have replacement brake pads for the 29er. When your brake pads are worn out, buy a new bike, preferably, not from Canadian Tire.

Q: Is this bike for male or female? I bought this bike in July, and I got a few comments about it that it's for girls. Then i went and researched and found out that when the top bar is slanted, then it makes it a model for girls. How weird would it be for an 18 year old guy riding

Q: Where can i find brake pads for this bike ?

2 Answers
  • A: This bike is a double disc brake bike, meaning it does not require standard brake pads, I would recommend personally ordering the disc brake pad replacements from CCM. This way, you will avoid incompatibility issues and differences in quality from aftermarket manufacturers.
