Hard to handle, doesn't catch flies

Hard to handle and got me all sticky, and had caught zero flies. Meanwhile the fly strips nearby have caught dozens. I saw several flies land on this, wriggle their feet around and get loose and fly off. Not recommended.

Horsefly Magnet

Bought these to deal with Horseflies in a barn and they really work well. Also catch the midges/blackflies. Would recommend them for Horseflies. Yes you do have to work out the "sweet spot" to hang them, but once that is done you'll need to buy a spare Gold Stick to replace the full one.

Q: Does this product work for catching Fruit Flies? I am having no luck getting rid of the mass of them that have taken over my kitchen and am looking for something that will do the trick.

A: Hi doogy16 and thank you for your inquiry. It may catch fruit flies along with most common flying insects but for the trap to be more effective you may place a few drops of apple cider vinegar inside the bottom white cap to help attract fruit flies. We also offer item 913F that is designed for fruit flies.

Q: FRUIT FLIES - Does this attract them?? I tried it for a full week in the house, next to the sink.. in the MIDDLE of a swarm of like 25 FRUIT FLIES with the bait applied to the gold part as indicated in the instructions, and not a SINGLE fruit fly... ??

A: Hi westcoastcamaroz28 and thank you for your inquiry. The Indoor Fly trap is designed to trap flies and most common flying insects but may not be the best trap for fruit flies. For better results to trap fruit flies, we do offer item 913F that is specifically designed to trap fruit flies and may also be purchased at Canadian Tire.
