This plate set is functional and pretty. Very well packaged, no damaged plates, however, one plate did come with a small black spot on it. You may love or hate the dotted design, and it may take some time to get used to the texture. The downside to the dots is that when you're stacking the bowls, sometimes it'll make a screeching noise. I'm sure this will also lead to future scratches. Other than that I'm happy with it.
