Q: All the lamps I ever bought from CT that needed to be assembled never ended up straight (bad threads) - always looked bent. Does this one go together properly?
4 years agoA: I bought 2 Merton lamps. I'm a senior female and read in one review to start from the base and attach the pole to that and then the next pole to the pole attached to the base. That made the assembly much easier. Thanks to the reviewer for that helpful advice. Sit on the floor with everything laid out and carefully screw each section together. It might take a few tries to get two different parts to line up together but with patience I did it. I have never assembled anything before. I am lacking in spatial intelligence. I sweat bullets putting the first lamp together, got the hang of it and the second lamp was easy to assemble. It looks difficult but it isn't. As you assemble the poles together continue to pull the inside thin coated wire under the base so that once the lamp is assembled you won't have lots of wire at the top of the lamp when it should be mostly coming out of the base. The quality for the price is very reasonable. I am happy with both solid stable lamps. They don't look inexpensive to me. I recommend this lamp.

Q: Regarding Canvas Merton Floor Lamp - How do I adjust the height to 69"? Under product specifications, lamp height is 60 to 69", but instructions do not show how to adjust, and lamp assembles at 60".
6 years agoA: This item can not be adjusted to the height of 69”. It can only be adjusted to 62 1/4". Our website will be updated accordingly.
