    Dont get to excited!

I bought the blue planet brand - think there selling those now instead of the noma's (prolly noma owns them any how) Same wattage, size and light spectrum and price. If your looking to replace 50 watt halogens (GU10) in a high traffic or high use area and need the light then these bulbs are not for you. Do they work? - sure they do but I'd say they replace 20 or 25 watt halogens. They could be usefull in hallways or basements with a ton of pot lights - my situation called for only 4 of them and they just wont cut it for me. I did the calculations and running 4, 50 watt halogens at 8 hours a day @ .10cent kwh plus the delivery chrg, regulatory chrg, deb rtirement charge will be 95 bucks a year - I know the saving would be huge with these other bulbs but none the less until these guys can make a better product i'm stickin with my halogens.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Disappointing

In an attempt to save money and be green I bought a new light fixture and these compact florescent bulbs...the light output is horrible and after a year all three bulbs are dead. Pricey, insufficient light output and not nearly as long lasting as they are supposed to be....very disappointing!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Short life-span

I purchased this bulb in an effort to become more environmental and to try to cut down on energy costs. But after using this for a year, I find that it was a complete waste of money. First, this bulb does not equal a 35W halogen in brightness. Seems like it takes forever to reach full brightness. And most dissappointing of all, it only lasted 1 year. About half as much as my halogens did.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Terrible quality

I wouldn't normally buy Noma brand CFLs but given that these are the first ones I see (besides the ones at Rona which are too huge) I thought I might give them a shot.... big mistake. It says on the package that CRI >=80 And colour temperature 2700 and says "Soft white" ..... no mention of how many lumens but they compare it to 35W halogen. Not sure how they measured these because none of the numbers seemed correct to me: The light is very weak compared to halogen, the colour is more like 4K and not sure what to give for CRI is zero! not to mention that it is not instant on (takes almost minute to warm up) Needless to say I returned them the next day.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    They are ok

I would say they replace a 20W halogen. Not very bright but good enough for general light. They are slow to start and take about 1 min to reach full brightness.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
