I like but not love this machine. For the most part, it has worked fine. It is lightweight which is good for taking to my kid's house. This machine, like all Bissell carpet cleaners, is high maintenance. It has to be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Internally cleaned or the soap residue with cloak the heater and lines.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Tricky to do the stairs, but I still love this little horse. It had saved my sanity multiple times when kids were messy babies and even more now as we have them all running hiding snacks in pockets . Having the whole house cleaned is hard work but I'd rather do it myself anyways . Saves money by hundreds . And it won't break, haha. 8 years and counting .

Very disappointed

I've had my cleaner for a couple of years now and have only used it about 5x since I bought it. I set it up to use it today and the cleaner will not come out when I squeeze the trigger. I have looked online to troubleshoot, made sure all of the parts where in working order and everything was connected correctly. I am very disappointed that I feel like there are not quality products made anymore that will last more than a few uses. Especially for what I paid for it.

A: I used this carpet cleaner on Berber flooring. I would NOT spend any amount of money to purchase this machine. My berber carpet is now all ruined and "rippled" as a result of the water leaking and from the numerous problems that I encountered. My Bissell upright carpet cleaner is collecting dust in my basement and I would NOT give this faulty product to anyone, not even for free!

A: Please follow directions in the user guide for using the BISSELL ProHeat Deep Cleaner. Always vacuum areas to be cleaned first and remove any debris. You may clean your auto interior with the attached hose and tough stain brush with the dial set at the TOOLS settting. Ensure the base of the machine is on a flat surface and not sitting in any damp conditions. It is a great machine for use to remove coffee stains, salt stains, dirt/mud and much more that gets tracked into to your vehicle and to ensure your machine remains clean after use, suction up clean water from a container so that any debris left in the hose is flushed out into the dirty water tank and the disposed of.

A: If you mean "soap" water the answer is NO. Soap will foam up and you will have a mess.

A: I had a belt break and I went on line with Bissel and ordered it. They were very helpful and when I recieved it I called the help line and they walked me through the instalation.

Q: Warranty What does the Canadian Tire warranty cover? Is there a Warranty from Bissell and for how long and what does it cover?

A: BISSELL ProHeat Deep Cleaner has a one year warranty. BISSELL will repair or replace (with new or remanufactured components or products), at BISSELL’s option, free of charge from the date of purchase by the original purchaser, for any defective or malfunctioning part. This warranty applies to product used for personal, and not commercial or rental service. This warranty does not apply to routine maintenance components such as belts, or brushes. Damage or malfunction caused by negligence, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair, or any other use not in accordance with the user's guide is not covered.

Q: Conflicting information I was wondering how big the tank really is as well as the length of the cord. Under features it says that its a 3/4 gallon tank and 25' cord. However, under specifications it says 1.8L and 20'.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. There may be some confusion in the features list as it is listing the 12 amp on 2 bullet points. The total power of the deep cleaner is rated at 12 Amps and not a 12 amp heater. I hope this helps clarify and I will contact the WebMaster to look at amending the features list.
