I love this fryer, we use it for thanksgiving every year. We have also done prime rib and chicken in it.

Love these fryers!

This new fryer is great. Just as reliable as the old one, which my husband used until it was falling apart, it works well with a variety of meats, creating juicy insides and crispy outsides, without the messy, unhealthy grease. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic!`

Just as advertised it cooks a 16.5 turkey perfectly. I prepared the turkey on site of our bocce tournament. I used my own thermometer for a quick test near end, but the pop-up indicator indicated when done. After a 10-minute settle I carved the turkey on site and served it immediately. It turned out beautifully and tender and moist. I received so many compliments during and after the event. My family is now using it for chickens and are loving it. Great buy, glad I found it.

Q: Is the Inside pot of the Big Easy fryer supposed to move around or stay put?

  • A: found answer in the back of manual and on Amazon community: When it fist ships to you they package it under the top retaining ring. Take the screws out of the top ring, lift the ring, and remove the inside chamber. Reinstall the ring and then drop in the chamber from the top and your ready to go after you finish assembling the base.

Q: It is taking a lot longer than normal to cook my meat. I looked at the “ring of fire,” and it appears the flames are smaller. I changed to a new propane tank and no change. Is this a part that needs to be replaced. I’ve had my Big Easy for 3 years.

Q: Happy thanksgiving Should I keep the thermometer in bird the entire time?  Temps in the 20s here today...assume turkey will take closer to 15 min/lbs? Should I let the turkey get to room temp for an hour prior?
