Nice quality images, mount does not hold the camera!

The images the camera records are very good quality. We bought the camera a month ago. Unfortunately when the temperature dipped to minus 10 degrees Celsius the camera fell of the mount, it detached and fell to the ground. We suspect the mount hardened in freezing temperatures and was too weak to hold the camera. For this reason I do not recommend this product, it is an expansive camera and although it is advertised as indoor/outdoor, it definitely is not an outdoor mount.

This is a great camera!

I bought this camera last weekend as a gift for my parents. I wanted to get them some added home security and researched top rated outdoor cameras. The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight came up with great reviews. I bought this without any hesitation and my parents could not be happier with it. The video resolution is amazing. Crystal clear, as is the microphone. The view is wide, you get great coverage of your property with just 1 camera. Yes, you do have to pay for a plan if you want the fullest features. The premium plan is a bit pricy, but you get unlimited features, the ability to add additional unlimited Arlo cameras and up to a month of storage on the app. But as I said, this was purchased for my parents, and as I want to help keep them safe and give them some peace of mind about their safety. I have no problem paying for that plan for them, which I will be doing, as I believe things like this make a perfect gift to aging parents. I have not been able to speak for how this camera will work in colder temperatures (this area can get down to minus 40 below zero in winter months). I’m not sure if it will be able to withstand that or not, or if it can possible be weatherized or will have to be brought in for the winter.

Great floodlight camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great floodlight camera. It was easy to install, easy to set up and in minutes I had it working. Nice video output, strong and stable Wi-Fi connect. The zoom quality is amazing, the floodlight is very bright and motion sensors are great. The only con is that you will need to charge the battery at least once every other week, if not more. But overall works well.

Well, still working on WiFi access

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app is very simplified. No issues setting it! Installment, super easy! A couple screws and that’s it! Charging, appears to be a little tedious unless you have the additional charging cable. If your camera/light is posted high, you’ll need to take it down each time. Unless, it’s posted near a window and can run the cord to it easily in that manner. My issue is the 2G connectivity. I have 5G and I guess no G. So, according to the directions & my attempts, it won’t work on either. So, it appears I have to purchase Smarthub. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this picture quality until I purchase the Hub. I do, however, I one small concern. It appears nothing would prevent a stranger from removing the the actual light/camera from its base, if it’s posted low. It’s only a push button release for removal.

Simple interface, super bright light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old front porch light just wasn't bright enough and I was also looking for something with a camera feature. The Arlo Pro 3 is battery powered so it was simple to install. Make sure you have clearance of at least 1/4" around the bracket, otherwise the housing won't click on. I don't know if I'll keep the subscription but it's only a few dollars a month so it's not a big deal. The app is easy to use and the set-up process was very clearly laid out. Note: if you don't want to deal with an app, this is not the light/camera for you... the app is required for functionality. 4 stars because it's a little oversized and not discrete and I don't like to be required to use an app and/or subscription.
