Merci

Q: Can Algaecide be used in a bromine treated pool (12x22x52”) approximately 7500 gallons. If so, how much should be used? I am severely allergic to chlorine so is that an issue for me in using Algaecide?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi, we can't tell if you can have an allergic reaction to Algaecide. There is no chlorirated product in the algaecide. The dosage is 200ml / 10 000L, so roughly 567ml per week . Thank you

Q: I plan on using algaecide once a week and shock also once a week.   Do you recommend using one of them first, and how long to wait before the other?  A day?  I've seen a couple of opinions stating to use shock first.  Is this recommended?

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi Tigs, Using an algeacide and shocking the pool once a week is part of a healthy pool maintenance plan. For the Algaecide 5%, the dosage is 200 ml/ 10 000L of water. If you want to reduce the quantity of algaecide to be added you can use the concentrated version (0813730). The weekly dosage is 35 ml/ 10 000L. The waiting time to go back to the pool after the addition of the algaecide is 5 min. Now for the shock , there are multiple options: Aquarius Shock (0813701), Aquarius Oxy Sparkle (0813323) and the Platinum Shock (0813750). They all have the same fonction which is to destroy the excess of organic contaminant. We recommend to do a weekly shock treatment. If the weather is very hot, there are some heavy rains or there is a high usage you may need to shock more than once a week. Shock: 150 g/ 10 000L. Waiting time to go back swimming is 10- 12 hours Oxy Sparkle: 120g/ 10 000L.Waiting time to go back swimming is 15 min Platinum Shock: Full pouch. Special blend that will add chlorine, oxydize and clarify the water. Premesured pouches. Waiting time to go back swimming is 30 min Thank you
