Solid Car Canopy for the Price

For the price this is a great little shelter, I like how snug the tarp cover fits on it, it prevents water from pooling on it like used to happen with the old 10x10 canopy I used to use. Easy to put up, I did it solo as a 5'4'' person.

Canopy for Cabinets

I bought the car canopy to protect a shipment of cabinets that needed to be stored outside for an extended period of time. The canopy setup was straightforward with no unexpected complications and was secure enough to withstand moderate to high winds. I used tarps to protect the cabinets from rain coming in from the sides. After the cabinets are moved will keep it up to cover a Delica. I am pleased with this product.

Q: The specs say it's 8' tall. Is that total to the peak? Or is that to the sides BEFORE the peak and the therefore actually 10' tall in the middle?

A: I set this up on uneven ground by bringing one of the leg sections to CT and finding another smaller canopy kit with the same diameter legs. You don't have to get an entire 10x20 kit again, just something small will do. I found a discontinued portico kit that was pretty cheap. I then cut some extensions for the legs that needed it.

Q: How is the shelter anchored ?

A: Each pole comes with a 3.5" round "shoe" that has 4 holes in it for you to either screw it to a base or push steel tent pegs through. I'd forego those and buy the screw in ground anchors (24" or 36") for every pole..that way the wind will not be moving your structure. Unless of course you are erecting on a concrete pad, then use concrete bolts thru the shoes.

A: All i know is that it's heavy, it should have a good carry bag on wheels instead of a box, very ackwark if you had to set it up by yourself.
