David, we’re sorry to hear you experienced rapid tire wear. While actual tread life can vary based on driving conditions, maintenance and vehicle alignment, we understand how disappointing this can be. We recommend visiting an authorized tire retailer for an inspection, then contacting our Consumer Care team with the results at 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Good tires despite broken belts on two

Good tires when new. Had a problem where the two tires had broken belts during winter. Replaced one tire as it was so bad the vibration at highway speeds was severe. The other tire I lived with and its now down to 4/32 so I a shopping for new tires. Always ran Michelins so despite this poor experience I will likely replace with MXM4's.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Replaced Continental H Rated which were good tires. Wanted security of run flat. These Michelins are very good. Have great road feel and are not noisy. My tire guy says "There's Michelin and there's everything else." He is right .

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Q: Should I pick this over the Goodyear Eagle GT/General Evertrek HP I drive a 2007 Toyota Matrix and recently bought rims that came off another Matrix... looking for 215/50R17 size tires and I know the Primacy MXV4 will cost more then the Eagle GT/Evertrek HP but will it be worth the difference ?

  • A: Yes these are a much better all round tire. Steve above said the tires he purchased only lasted 30,000km and then had to be replaced. If this was true he should of returned them since they have a 100,000km tread wear rating and some or all of his money would be returned.

Q: Lexus ES350. Need Michelin primacy MXV4 P215/55R17 93V tires. I notice you have 94V tires. Would it work for my car. What is the difference between 93V and 94V. I need to buy 2 tires for my front wheel.

2 Answers
  • A: 93 means the tire can carry a load of 1433 lbs, and 94 means the tire can hold the load of 1477 lbs. V - Speed ratings are represented by letters ranging from A to Z. Each letter coincides to the maximum speed a tire can sustain under its recommended load capacity. For instance, V is equivalent to a maximum speed of 149 mph. Even though a tire can perform at this speed General Tire does not advocate exceeding legal speed limits.
