There is no thermostat, the heat is always on. 3 settings but you have to get up and shut it off when you have reached the temperature you want.

Q: Indoor or outdoor use? Info says "room size" So in description it says "Heats up to a 450 sq ft ROOM....yet Canadiantire responds to a question below with "outdoor use only" so which is correct???

A: Outdoor use only, things like ice-fishing huts, buildings under construction , basically nothing that is tightly enclosed, and NEVER EVER use it in an area people sleep in and you should have two openings in the area you plan on operating this heater in, and at full power 18,000 btu they need to be a minimum 54 sq inches, about 8 inch by 8 inch ideally on two sides of the room to be heated to create a cross flow, so at a lower setting it's 3 sq inches / 1000 Btu also propane powered appliances can emit CO during operation. Do not rely on the oxygen sensor in this unit to detect CO. its an Oxygen sensor, buy a CO detector, they are cheap and Canadian tire sells them a few isles over from this heater because you can't smell, see or taste CO and use it every where you use this heater. And on a side note this will heat a 450 Sq foot room, and unlike some other answer 450 sq feet is a room about 21 feet by 21 feet so it's a fairly big room.
