Bought this product from Canadian Tire and within a week stopped working, tried to resolve with canadian tire and horrible customer service experience, discriminatory and disrespectful supervisor and manager, no resolution provided nor willing to find any solution. Always supported local and in-store, but after this experience I will no longer be supporting canadian tire, especially the Bolton location.

This heater is a beast

Worked great off the start. Heater an non insulated 20 x 30 shop from -24 c to 45f in half hour. The only complaint is that the gas cap fits really tight and it leaks a bit when you tip it up and it's full. It was cold when I filled it so I'll try to tighten the cap when it's warm in the shop.

A: I own this heater, the unit does have a temp setting. the BTU is 125,000 , but you can turn the temp control down to cycle the heater , ex, 20 deg, 25 deg. etc.....One thing to remember , the more the unit cycles on and off the more smell/fumes you will get from the unit, ( I am using Diesel fuel can't find Bulk Kerosene here to see if smell/fumes is less when temp control cycles)

Q: What is the factory setting for the DIP 'differential" Switch 2 degrees, 4 degrees or 6 degree.

Q: Do you need to plug into electricity too ? Or does it run stand alone on diesels? Just wondering if it needs power to run as I plan on running it in an isolated area where electricity may not be an option. Thank you

A: The REM-125T-KFA heater does require connection to a 120V source to run.

Q: Is there a "sock" or "tube" that mounts on the heating end to allow for moving the heat? or is one available?

A: There is no vent sock or tube available or allowed with Direct Fired Heat. Indirect Heat does have that option but’s much more expensive.

A: The runtime is approximately 8 Hours, and yes it runs on diesel too.
