Yardworks 40V Max

People shouldn’t buy this battery as Yardworks has discontinued the charger that is needed. The charger for the 2 amp battery will not work

No batteries available anymore for 5yr old mower

Bought the mower and batteries in 2019 for a small yard. Worked great! Charged the batteries up and stored in house over the winters and this year, can't get them to charge up anymore. Mower is still good but can't find a replacement battery so now have an oversized paperweight piece of junk. Planned obsolescence ? Can be assured we will never buy this brand again! :-(
No, I do not recommend this product.

Disappointing Return
a year ago
I’m returning this battery as it didn’t work on my 40 V Greenworks mower, as stated on the CTC App. Very disappointing.

Manufacturing Defect

The first battery was sold with packaging open and a manufacturing defect (securing latch installed backwards). The replacement battery (from another store) was just fine.

Disappointed that the battery is already 4 years told. Bought this in 2023, but battery was made in 2019. Hope this doesn’t affect its life.

The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Yardworks batteries are backed by a two-year warranty. A: Hello chesterr - You are able to share batteries between tools within the same voltage family, batteries should only be used with tools of a corresponding voltage. Related or Replacement SKU's sold separately: Yardworks 48V 4Ah Battery (CT# 060-1988); Yardworks 48V 6Ah Battery (CT# 060-1989); Yardworks 48V 2A Charger (CT# 060-1990); Yardworks 48V 6A Charger (CT# 060-1992).

A: Yes, if it fits. Its twice as thick but the connection is the same as I used the 2ah battery from this trimmer in my chainsaw which comes with this battery.
