The Weston® Stainless Steel Cone Strainer and Pestle Set includes the stainless steel cone strainer, stainless steel support stand, and solid-wood pestle. It's ready to use out of the box to mash and sieve soft foods to a fine, smooth consistency. It's perfect for making apple sauce, berry jams, tomato puree, mashed potatoes, and many other foods. Use the pestle to mash and press cooked foods like tomatoes, grapes, apples and potatoes through the strainer. The strainer is also great for straining soups, stock, and sauces. The perforated 1.5 mm fine mesh stainless steel strainer prevents pulp, skin, seeds and small pieces of food from slipping through into your bowl or pan. The cone shape lets you catch more food debris without stopping. The cone strainer holds 2 quarts or approximately 1.9 liters of food. It's the perfect size for making large quantities of food or for combining different foods while mashing. The cone strainer handle and bowl hook help to prevent the strainer from slipping when its resting on the side of large bowls or pans. The strainer and support stand are easy to clean and dishwasher safe.
