Where did you guys get these from?

The local store had 3 of these in stock. I bought one late Sunday and got it home 10 minutes after the store closed... only to discover the glass piece was completely shattered. My husband and I put the rest of it together and I went back to get a non-broken glass piece this morning. I got home, attached the glass and excitedly turned on my new light.... nothing. Checked the breaker, even went so far as to replace the light switch... still nothing. So we took the new fixture down, only to discover the grounding wire was almost completely severed right near the fixture.
My husband just got back from the store again.. where the only other unit still left on the shelf also had a broken glass peice. Between 3 boxes we may have made 1 working light fixture. I have my fingers crossed... but it's not looking hopefull as the mounting plate seems to be defective on this one.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great series for large open concept rooms

I purchased the whole victorian series for our porch, living room, hallway and stairway. They are all beautiful. I had also found a curtain rod from another store that matched to coordinate the entire area. Unfortunately I think they stopped selling the 11" flush mount and now only offer 13". We used 11" ones in hallway and 13" in porch (entrance).

Q: Is this a brushed nickel finish?

A: The outside of the box says antique bronze but inside is antique zinc, made of thin stamped metal on the light flange above the shade. It is black with dull silver (zinc) highlights. Not brushed nickel, but it might pass for antique brushed nickel, it has a lot of black on it. Colour selection appears to be limited
