Excellent package.

We bought 3 units for our house with 3 different living quarters. I replaced the smoke detector in our apartment and it works much better than the previous unit, not over reacting to kitchen fumes. The price was also appreciated. Good value for the money. Overall, a recommendable purchase.

Q: does this detector require 110v wiring or can it be strictly battery operated? also, how many are in a package

A: This is (1) battery operated IOPHIC smoke detector and (1) plug in CO/Natural Gas detector. There is no wiring necessary. 1 of each are included in the pack.

A: This combo pack contains 46-0045 which is an IoPhic 9V Smoke Alarm. Iophic technology is exclusive to Canadian Tire, and is a combination between Ionization and Photoelectric technology. The product contains a microprocessor that enables it to respond faster to both types of fires, slow smouldering and fast flaming). It does so while also reducing false alarms caused by cooking smoke or steam. The combo pack also contains 46-0325 which is a Universal CO and Natural Gas Detector with Battery Back-Up.
