Great kitchen garbage can

It works really well and the large capacity is great. I’m curious how long the batteries will last, how often they’ll need to be replaced. That seems to be the one drawback to this garbage can, if the batteries are dead I don’t think it can be manually opened and closed without damaging the mechanical workings.

Overall quality not the best

Purchased this garbage can almost a year ago and worked fine until the small plastic hinge/screw par that lifts the entire lid sheared off. There is no way to replace the little plastic hinge since the screw sheared off, I would need to buy a full lid replacement which i'm sure costs about as much as the can itself. Waste of money and there aren't even ridges to help manually lift the lid, you have to take the entire top off just to throw garbage out. 2 stars because the garbage can actually looks nice, but thats about it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Where does the battery’s go? I have different one and the battery in under the lid.

Q: The batteries required says d batteries 3 volt. Can I use 1,50 volt d batteries.
