A: It's the cook, not the cooker that makes the difference. Add more water by 1/2 cup and your rice won't be soo dry or grainy.

A: Yes, I have this model (made in Japan) and regularly cook white rice, red rice, quinoa, and bukgar wheat in it. The rice cooker tells you how much water to add so your food cooks to perfection.
