Texture of the handle is a concern

The handle is a little gummy already after just a few weeks. It feels like cheap rubber so I'm storing it away from my silicone cooking tools. However, I must say this was the only flipper that has a thin leading edge, so you can easily lift things like pancakes. I was very surprised that several expensive flippers didn't have that shape. I just wish this one had a plain plastic handle instead, or a better silicone material.
